Caps Beat Maple Leafs in Shootout!

Thank goodness the Capitals won in a shootout tonight.

That clinched the Southeast Division.  Philadelphia lost to the Sabres so they are 2 points behind the Capitals with only 2 games to go (4 points up for grabs).  If the Capitals win their last two, they win the Eastern Conference with the best record in the East.

Go Capitals!!!

Go Capitals

The Capitals are in a tie (points wise) with the Philadelphia Flyers for the best record in the Eastern Conference of the NHL.

Hopefully the Caps can finish the season strong with thier next game against the Maple Leafs and the final two games against the Panthers.  Toronto is in next to last place in the Northeast Division and the Panthers are in last place in the Southeast Division and have a 1-6-3 record in their last 10 games.

Hooray for Novak!!!

Way to go Novak!!!

Novak Djokovic defeated Rafael Nadal after losing the first set in the Sony Ericsson Open Men’s Final on Sunday, April 3, 2011.

Novak now has an 24-0 record in matches played in 2011 and has beaten Nadal in back-to-back ATP Master’s 1000 events.  First “Nole” beat Rafa in the final at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, CA on March 20, 2010 and then beat Rafa today in Miami.

Keep it up Nole!!!  Don’t let the clay bother you.

Now if the Williams sisters could get back on tour I’d be able to really root for a WTA player (or players).
