World Team Tennis Is Innovating Again!!!

I didn’t notice the news article when it was first published but I read the article with glee.  World Team Tennis will be using Hawk-Eye Live Line-Calling for the 2018 season.  The chair umpire and a review official in the Hawk-Eye booth (to monitor foot faults) will be the only officials involved with Hawk-Eye making the calls including foot faults (that will be reviewed).

Hawk-Eye Live will be integrated into the WTT.tv streaming platform and there will be in-stadium LED screens a well as WTT television broadcasts.  The system will use 12 ball tracking cameras and 6 foot fault cameras.

In addition to some broadcasts on ESPN2/3, Tennis Channel, Mediacom and Regional Sports Networks, all matches will be available on WTT.tv.
